NHS pay in Scotland 2024/25

Following negotiations between the Scottish government and health unions in Scotland, including the CSP, a one-year pay offer has been made.

2024 / 25 pay

Pay setting for NHS Scotland is through direct negotiations between health unions and the government.  This is a different approach from  England, Wales and Northern Ireland as they are still part of the pay review body process.

Following negotiations between Scottish government and health unions in Scotland, including the CSP, the Scottish government have made a final offer of 5.5per cent pay increase for 2024/25.

We are currently consulting with our members in NHS Scotland on this.

At this time the offer is only for a consolidated pay increase. Members will be aware of the pay review body recommendations in England and that as well as a pay increase it included some changes to be made to Bands 8 and 9.

This is not part of the offer in Scotland but the Scottish government has reaffirmed its commitment to continue discussions on the modernisation of agenda for change and this is likely to form part of the union pay claim for next year.
