The CSP mentoring platform has relaunched with a new look and updates to the matching criteria.
The platform has existed for several years, and the resource has helped members form mentoring relationships for their career and continued professional development.
Key features of the changes include opening the platform to final year students to help support their transition into graduate employment, updating the matching criteria to reflect contemporary practice and liaising with the diversity networks to the needs of the membership.
The platform is open to all chartered, associate and retired members, international affiliates and now final year students.
If you are looking for a mentor, join hundreds of members who have found support on the platform. The matching process requires mentors to complete a profile, and with this information mentees can search according to the skills and expertise required.
Members at all career levels are encouraged to join as mentors. The role of a mentor is not to have all of the answers, but is to share your knowledge, perspective, and experience and work with mentees and act as a sounding board on their ideas and proposed solutions.
Benefits for mentors include:
- widening perspective
- improve problem-solving skills
- enhance listening, facilitation and leadership skills
- consolidate knowledge and improve self-confidence
- giving back to the profession and enabling members to progress
All new and existing mentors are encouraged to sign up and update their profiles.
