Physiotherapist developed evidence-based website for the NHS GGC Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy Service.

Purpose

To publish the newly developed Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy website for the NHS GGC and to collect patient feedback on the website.

Feedback on the website has been very positive overall
and it´s constructive feedback has been utilized to enhance the website further in future updates and improve patient care.

Approach

Collected informal patient feedback via Survey Monkey on our website´s content, accessibility and improvement strategies to enhance the website. Surveys were given to pregnant women who attended our ante natal classes.

Outcomes

Patient feedback via Survey Monkey were very positive overall - the website is easily accessible on the internet, easy to navigate and informative content. Feedback regarding ways to improve the website included booking services for ante natal classes and the use of pictures/videos.

Since going live the Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy website has been a great educational resource for women to access related to women´s health issues. Feedback on the website has been very positive overall and it´s constructive feedback has been utilized to enhance the website further in future updates and improve patient care.

Implications

As of May 2019 the website will have been updated - content, resources, additional patient booklets and links to videos. Moving forward we would like to collect more feedback on the updated version of the website to aid in further improvement for patient care. We would also like to complete an audit regarding service evaluation and the website´s effectiveness in improving our service.
